AA4 Steering Committee
2024-08-29
On Thursday, August 22nd, shortly after the conclusion of Vice President Kamala Harris’ speech at the Democratic National Convention (DNC), Arab Americans Forward (AA4) conducted a straw poll to capture the presidential candidate preferences among its membership. The membership of AA4 is primarily concerned with advancing the collective interest of the racially, ethnically, culturally, and linguistically diverse Arab American communities they represent and serve.
Breakdown of Vote Share
AA4 members answered questions about their preference between the following candidates: Vice President Harris, former President Donald Trump, Green Party nominee Jill Stein, and Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Respondents were also given the option of marking “Undecided,” which, in the context of the Uncommitted Movement, is considered to be a vote in support of the Uncommitted Movement. The most popular choice among the AA4 membership was Dr. Jill Stein, who captured roughly 48 percent of the vote in the straw poll, followed by Undecided (26 percent) and Vice President Kamala Harris (24 percent). RFK Jr, who has since dropped out of the race, received no votes.
